Elissa Katz

Elissa F. Katz, 72, of Hopkinton passed away Dec. 21. Born in Albany, New York, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Sokol and David Feinman. She was the wife of 50 years to Henry Katz.

In addition to her husband, Elissa is survived by her three children, Lona Moxim, Lindsay Katz and Sasha Murphy, as well as her seven grandchildren, Dyllan, Payton and Blake Moxim, Kelsey and Austin LeBlanc, and Hannah and Jack Emmons. She also is survived by her sisters, Pam Mazzone and Donna Wise, and her brother, Barry Feinman.

Funeral services will be held privately for immediate family only and are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Palliative Care at Tufts Medical Center (giving.tuftsmedicalcenter.org/give).

A letter from Elissa’s three daughters: “Our Mema was so loved, cherished and adored beyond words. She prioritized her family above all, and she was our biggest fan and greatest cheerleader. Her love was so powerful, even fierce! Despite us not being perfect, her arms were always open to welcome us home to feel her unconditional acceptance. She was a magnetic energy of radiating love, drawing everybody to come in and make it their home. Mema’s children, grandchildren and granddogs were number one and they all felt it. Even though you said, ‘We will miss you when you’re gone,’ you’ll forever be in our hearts. Dance. Laugh. Smile. Love. Accept. Forgive. Love You Beyond. xo”

I met Elisa 10 years ago. It was a gift I received from from the lord. I just loved her smile and personality and she could make you feel the love she offered to me. Elisa and her wonderful husband Henry and children are were the love of her life. I still have the coffee mug she gave to me with the letter T on it. Elisa will be truly missed by all she came to know. My sympathy goes out to each and every one of Else’s family and friends. May she RIP. Until we meet again Elisa know that I love you and miss you.
