Conversation Circles
Session 1: Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1-2 p.m.
Session 2: Thursday, Jan. 13, 6-7:30 p.m.
English Language Learners Conversation Circles are designed to provide an opportunity for English Language Learners to practice vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar in a relaxed, comfortable environment. Emphasis will be placed on providing conversation skills that reflect day-to-day life. Flexibility will be emphasized so that the needs of participants can be met. All Conversation Circles will be led by trained community volunteers and will be ongoing throughout the spring. Register via the library website.

Sensational Snakes
Tuesday, Jan. 18, 7-8 p.m.
Some people fear snakes, but people often fear what they do not understand. Attendees will learn how snakes act as important predators and help people in many ways they may not realize, and learn what to do if they see a snake. There will be some very sssspecial guests. This program is appropriate for all ages. Register via the library website.

Freedom Team Book Club
Tuesday, Jan. 25, 7-8 p.m.
Each month, Freedom Team Book Club participants read a book about bias, discrimination or inequity. In January the group will be reading “Heavy: An American Memoir” by Kiese Laymon. Copies will be available at the library.
