Nomination papers for town positions available in the May 16 Annual Town Election are available at the town clerk’s office. The deadline to return the forms is March 28.
The following positions are open for election: Board of Assessors (1 term, 3 years), Board of Health (1 term, 3 years), Board of Library Trustees (3 terms, 3 years, 3 years and 2 years), Select Board (2 terms, both 3 years), Cemetery Commissioners (2 terms, 3 years and 2 years), Commissioners of Trust Fund (1 term, 3 years), constable (2 terms, 3 years and 2 years), Housing Authority (2 terms, 5 years and 2 years), Parks & Recreation Commission (1 term, 3 years), Planning Board (3 terms, 5 years, 5 years and 1 year), School Committee (1 term, 3 years), town clerk (1 term, 3 years) and town moderator (1 term, 3 years).
Anyone interested in seeking to volunteer for elected office should inquire with the town clerk’s office about the process for obtaining nomination papers and getting on the ballot.
