Edward F. L’Antigua III, 86, of Hopkinton and a former longtime resident of Holliston, passed away July 22 at the Blaire House in Worcester. Born in Boston and raised in Watertown, he was the son of the late Mary (Lehan) and Edward F. L’Antigua Jr. He was the husband of 64 years to Joyce (Alexander) L’Antigua of Hopkinton.
Ed was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was known for his love of the military. Edward’s sons and three grandsons followed in his footsteps. After the Air Force, Ed attended East Coast Aero Tech to obtain a commercial pilot’s license. Ed also was in sales, winning many awards, both national and regional. He also served as manager of the American Legion in Holliston.
Besides his wife, Edward is survived by four children, Mark L’Antigua and his wife, Daniela, of Alabama; Denise Fishlock and her husband, Kyle, of Colorado; Janine Pandolfino and her husband, Paul, of Holliston; and Edward A. L’Antigua and his wife, Martha, of Texas. Edward also leaves behind three sisters, Mary “Bunny” Detlefsen and her husband, Stu, of New York; Judy Lynch and her husband, John, of Long Island; and Brenda Kadlik of Bellingham, as well as 15 grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Aug. 3 at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston (ChesmoreFuneralHome.com), followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
