Mary Flynn
Mary Rosalind (Begee) Flynn of Hopkinton, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away peacefully on July 5 at the age of 97. The dear daughter of Benjamin Begee and Maria L. (Freda) Begee, she was the adored wife of the late Daniel J. Flynn, Jr., with whom she shared 57 years of marriage before his passing in 2005.
She was the cherished mother of Lisa M. (Flynn) Curry and her husband David of Hopkinton, and Kevin D. Flynn and his wife Evelyn of Leominster. She also was the proud and beloved nana to Aidan and Declan Curry of Hopkinton, and sister to Alma Costa of Nevada.
A funeral mass was held July 29 in St. Theresa Church in West Roxbury, followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Mary’s name may be made to Brookhaven Hospice (brookhavenhospice.com). The family is very grateful for Brookhaven’s exceptional compassion and kindness.
