July 29

10:03 p.m. On West Main Street, Officers John Corridan, Brian Sanchioni and Robert Ekross conducted a motor vehicle stop and subsequently arrested William J. Grant, 39, of 44 Winter St., Franklin, and charged him with possession of a Class A substance.

 

August 1

1:59 p.m. A walk-in, Henderson Olmos, 20, of 203 Belleville Ave., New Bedford, turned himself in on a warrant.

 

August 6

12:16 a.m. Officer Ryan Polselli and Sergeant William Burchard conducted a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street and subsequently arrested Jonas T. Souza, 19, of 77 Ardmore Road, Framingham, and charged him with OUI drugs, speeding in violation special regulation, and OUI liquor.

3:29 p.m. The Attleboro Police Department requested a well-being check of an Attleboro resident who left 10 days earlier with a male party whose car is registered to a Lakeshore Drive address. Officers Brian Sanchioni, Ryan Polselli and Derek Morton responded to Lakeshore Drive and arrested Amanda R. Wynne, 37, of 24 Sagamore Road, Attleboro, on a warrant.

July 29

10:07 a.m. A contractor working on South Street reported hitting a gas line, which caused a gas leak. Officers Benjamin Stickney and Jay Deiana responded along with the Fire Department, and the gas was shut off. Eversource was notified.

1:24 p.m. A walk-in handed in a credit card found in front of a store. Officer Benjamin Stickney returned it to the owner.

2:12 p.m. A caller reported losing her keys and wanted it logged.

4:27 p.m. A caller reported a boat blocking other boats’ access in and out of the area on Lakeshore Drive. Officers Preston Mucciarone, Robert Ekross and Brian Sanchioni responded and attempted unsuccessfully to make contact via phone and in person with the owner.

 

July 30

12:48 a.m. Officer Ryan Polselli found the outside door unsecured at an East Main Street building, while the inside door was found locked. Officer Polselli secured the door.

1:05 a.m. Officer Ryan Polselli checked on a person walking on Cedar Street. All was OK, as the individual lives further down the street.

9:12 a.m. An Oakhurst Road caller reported her credit cards were stolen. Officer Jay Deiana responded and took a report.

9:18 a.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil spoke with a Comcast crew taking up half a lane on East Main Street. They were to leave in a few minutes.

10:30 a.m. An employee of a West Main Street business reported a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that took place a few weeks ago. Officer Moira McGafigan responded, and a report was to follow.

1:16 p.m. A walk-in reported something flew off a semi-trailer on Wood Street and hit her windshield. She was not injured. Officer Jay Deiana took a report.

3:44 p.m. A caller reported two Woodview Way tenants in a verbal argument. Officers John Corridan, Preston Mucciarone and Robert Ekross responded and assisted.

6:34 p.m. A caller reported three trailers parked at Sandy Beach on Lakeshore Drive without Hopkinton parking stickers. Officer Preston Mucciarone responded and issued a parking citation, and owners removed the other two trailers.

 

July 31

1:10 a.m. Officer Stephen Buckley removed two people walking on Sandy Beach.

9:45 a.m. A walk-in requested to speak with an officer about a protection order. Officer John Corridan spoke with the woman and referred her to Framingham District Court.

3:18 p.m. A walk-in reported someone stealing money in his house. Officers Robert Ekross and Brian Sanchioni assisted and took a report.

3:52 p.m. The Ashland Police Department requested a call from a Chestnut Street resident possibly involved in a hit and run in Ashland. Officer Derek Morton went to the residence, which appeared abandoned and with mail not belonging to the woman in question. Officer Morton notified the Ashland Police Department.

7:33 p.m. An employee of a West Main Street establishment reported an intoxicated patron leaving and falling down before entering his vehicle. The caller stated the wife, who did not appear intoxicated, had taken over. Officers Derek Morton, Brian Sanchioni and Robert Ekrosss responded, and the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.

7:57 p.m. A Rosewood Lane resident reported her abusive ex-husband had her social security card and was trying to charge her for its return. Officer Derek Morton advised her it was a civil matter and that she should speak to the Woburn Police Department.

 

August 1

10:20 a.m. A Beach Street resident reported attempted fraud after receiving a scam phone call. She wanted the incident logged.

9:18 p.m. While patrolling Lakeshore Drive, Officers Robert Ekross and Brian Sanchioni found a vehicle at the Sandy Beach parking lot and subsequently advised the occupants that the beach closes at dusk and to leave.

10:02 p.m. A North Mill Street resident reported someone on her property with a flashlight. Sergeant Matthew McNeil an Officer Derek Morton responded and checked the area and found all secure.

10:25 p.m. Officer Derek Morton checked on two motor vehicles behind the high school on Hayden Rowe Street and found a group of kids playing lacrosse. They were sent on their way.

 

August 2

8:47 a.m. An Auciello Drive caller reported her dog had been missing since the previous night. The animal control officer already had been notified, but the caller wanted the incident logged.

9:42 a.m. A walk-in filed a complaint about an officer. Sergeant Timothy Brennan took a report.

11:24 a.m. A Lakeshore Drive resident spoke with Officer Jay Deiana about problems he was having with a contractor. A report was to follow.

1:21 p.m. A caller reported a pickup truck speeding on Interstate 495 South with a dog in a crate in the bed of the truck. The State Police were notified.

3:50 p.m. A caller reported his vehicle was vandalized on Hayden Rowe Street while he was fishing. Officer Benjamin Stickney responded and spoke with the reporting person.

4:58 p.m. Officer Benjamin Stickney reported the street lights on Main Street were not cycling correctly, He notified the DPW.

8:55 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious incident of people at a vacant Priscilla Drive house putting items in to their vehicle. Sergeants Aaron O’Neil and Arthur Schofield responded and spoke with the individuals, who had the appropriate paperwork to be at the house.

10:27 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil checked on and spoke with a group of youths behind the high school on Hayden Rowe Street.

 

August 3

12:19 a.m. Officer Stephen Buckley issued a parking ticket to a vehicle parked on Hayden Rowe Street in a No Overnight Parking location.

7:07 a.m. A concerned caller reported a West Main Street resident had not been seen since 3 p.m. the day before. Sergeant Arthur Schofield and Officers Jay Deiana and Philip Powers responded to the area and discovered the person’s phone was pinged in Westborough, where the resident was subsequently located. A report was to follow.

2:00 p.m. A Clinton Street caller with questions about a trespass order spoke with Officer Philip Powers. Officer Powers did a drive-by of the property.

7:20 p.m. Sergeant Matthew McNeil contacted a person who left her credit card behind at a West Main Street restaurant.

9:13 p.m. The Medfield Police Department requested an officer look for the owner of a vehicle parked at an abandoned building in Medfield. Officer Benjamin Stickney attempted to deliver a message to the Smith Road resident, but he was not home.

10:31 p.m. Officer Benjamin Stickney checked on and spoke with a couple parked on Legacy Farms North. They were advised to move along.

 

August 4

2:38 p.m. A caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Wood Street involving a car and a motorcycle. Officers Moira McGaffigan and Benjamin Stickney responded along with an ambulance. No injuries were reported. The individuals refused transportation to the hospital. The motorcycle was towed and fluids were cleaned from the street.

6:45 p.m. A caller complained of construction taking place on Lakeshore Drive. Officer Preston Mucciarone responded and advised the worker of town bylaw, and he ceased operations.

 

August 5

10:47 a.m. A caller complained that a construction crew was working without a detail officer on Hayward Street. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil responded and advised the crew that they required a detail. They were to shut down for the day.

12:44 p.m. A walk-in spoke with Officer Moira McGaffigan about a past hit-and-run motor vehicle accident. A report was to follow.

1:22 p.m. A caller reported seeing two windows in the back of Hopkins School open. Officers John Corridan and Moira McGaffigan responded to Hayden Rowe Street and spoke with a custodian, who was cleaning windows and had opened them.

2:30 p.m. A Lakeshore Drive caller reported her neighbor had been yelling during the night. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil responded and spoke with the reporting person.

3:26 p.m. A walk-in handed in a found debit card.

4:29 p.m. A passerby reported an open door at a Claflin Commons business. Sergeants Joseph Bennett and Arthur Schofield responded, checked the building and secured the door.

8:56 p.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield checked on a parked vehicle on Legacy Farms North. The owner was out for a walk with her children and was advised to move the vehicle.

9:11 p.m. A Lakeshore Drive walk-in reported a suspicious person harassing her daughter. Sergeant Arthur Schofield assisted.

 

August 6

7:38 a.m. A walk-in turned in a can of mace. Officer Matthew Santoro spoke with the individual and retrieved it.

10:13 a.m. A caller who attempted to contact the animal control officer reported a snake on a Wood Street playground. Officer Moira McGaffigan responded and removed the reptile.

11:55 a.m. A Kimball Road caller requested to speak with an officer about information pertaining to an upcoming court case. Officer Derek Morton assisted.

5:23 p.m. A walk-in from Lakepoint Way requested to speak with an officer about a situation with her ex-husband. Officer Derek Morton assisted, and a report was to follow.

9:00 p.m. A Main Street caller reported the window on his front door was smashed. Officers Derek Morton and Brian Sanchioni responded, and a report was to follow.

9:30 p.m. A School Street resident complained of barking dogs in the neighborhood. Officer Brian Sanchioni responded and found all quiet.

 

August 7

9:22 a.m. The DPW reported finding a package in trees on South Mill Street. The dispatcher was unable to make contact with the recipient, and Amazon would not retrieve the package without account information. The package was held at the station.

9:58 a.m. Officer Moira McGaffigan assisted the Milford Police Department with a fraud case.

11:01 a.m. A walk-in from Appaloosa Circle reported losing an iPad. The information was logged.

1:10 p.m. A caller reported a man watching children play on a Wood Street playground from his vehicle in the morning. Officer Jay Deiana responded, and a report was to follow.

1:45 p.m. Sergeant Timothy Brennan responded along with the Fire Department to a report of a lightning strike to a dog fence on Blueberry Lane. Minor damage to a wall was discovered. The electrical inspector responded. All units were cleared.

1:57 p.m. A Saddle Hill Road resident reported losing her cell phone and wanted the incident logged.

6:33 p.m. A caller reported hearing gunshots near Hopkins School on Hayden Rowe Street. Officers Derek Morton, Preston Mucciarone and Ryan Polselli responded and reported hearing gunshots coming from the gun range on Lumber Street.

8:31 p.m. Officer Ryan Polselli responded along with the Fire Department to a lightning strike at an Elizabeth Road residence. Severe damage to the chimney was reported. The building inspector was contacted. No injuries were reported.

9:54 p.m. A motorist reported part of Wood Street was flooded. Officer Preston Mucciarone responded.

 

August 8

6:31 a.m. A passerby reported a road rage incident on Main Street but did not provide a license plate number. Officer Brendon Lyver responded, and the reporting person stated the vehicle was a Jon Chimney Sweeping truck.

11:13 a.m. A caller reported finding a Fendi watch in the State Park. The caller was advised to notify the Ashland Police Department.

11:28 a.m. A caller reported a tree blocking Saddle Hill Road. Officer Jay Deiana responded along with the DPW and the tree was removed.

12:19 p.m. Officer Jay Deiana assisted a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street and provided a courtesy transport.

1:45 p.m. Sergeant Timothy Brennan spoke to an employee of a West Main Street business about not parking in a No Parking zone.

3:00 p.m. Officer Benjamin Stickney took a report of identity theft on Main Street.

4:24 p.m. Officer Benjamin Stickney took a report of assault on Main Street.

5:52 p.m. A Woodview Way resident reported a suspicious vehicle in the complex. Officer Benjamin Stickney responded and spoke with the reporting person.

 

August 9

2:39 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield checked on a driver parked on West Main Street and told him to move along.

2:57 p.m. A caller reported an 18-wheeler truck with a flat tire on West Main Street. Officer Derek Morton responded and stood by while a crew was contacted to repair the truck.

3:56 p.m. A cyclist reported a vehicle almost ran him off the roadway on Elm Street. Officer Derek Morton responded, and the vehicle was gone upon his arrival.

6:57 p.m. A Davis Road caller reported a neighbor banging on the walls and making noise. Officer Benjamin Stickney responded, and no one answered the door. A report was to follow.

8:47 p.m. On South Street, Officer Derek Morton checked on a person in a parked car. All was OK. The man was waiting for his wife, who was practicing riding her motorcycle.

 

August 10

12:35 a.m. Officer Stephen Buckley found four youths in the Sandy Beach parking lot and moved them along.

10:13 a.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil notified the DPW about a large pothole on Fruit Street near the fields.

12:54 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officer Benjamin Stickney assisted an individual in retrieving his belongings from a Williams Way property.

1:52 p.m. A walk-in reported issues with two employees. Officer Moira McGaffigan took a report.

6:55 p.m. A Ryegrass Circle resident reported being harassed by his neighbor. Officer Moira McGaffigan and Sergeant Arthur Schofield responded, and a report was to follow.

10:43 p.m. A Leonard Street caller reported hearing gunshots in the area. Sergeant Arthur Schofield and Officer Ryan Polselli responded and found all quiet.

10:44 p.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield found youths setting off fireworks on Marshall Avenue and sent them on their way.

 

August 11

9:43 a.m. A caller complained about numerous cars parked on Ash Street, near the slaughterhouse. Officer Moira McGaffigan responded and reported the issue was the vehicles parked on Front Street. She advised the owners to move their cars.

11:47 a.m. Multiple complaints were received about parking on Ash Street during a planned event. Officers Jay Deiana and Benjamin Stickney responded and reported a fight broke out. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officer Moira McGaffigan and Holliston police officers responded as back up. All parties were separated and the situation was under control. Officer Stickney took a report.

2:15 p.m. A caller reported a German shepherd puppy with a white collar loose on Spring Street. The caller was unable to catch it. The animal control officer was notified.

4:58 p.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield and Officer Brian Sanchioni assisted the State Police with a traffic stop on West Main Street of a wanted person, who was subsequently placed in custody.

9:27 p.m. Officer Brian Sanchioni assisted the Westborough Police Department in searching for a suspect near the Upton town line.

10:47 p.m. An anonymous caller complained of noise coming from an underage drinking party on Hayden Rowe Street. Officer Stephen Buckley and Sergeant William Burchard responded and requested assistance from the Ashland Police Department and the State Police in stopping a large group of underage parties from leaving the area.

11:29 p.m. A Wood Street caller reported a suspicious person looking into people’s windows in the neighborhood. When confronted, the person ran off toward the Whitehall boat ramp. Officer Stephen Buckley and Sergeant William Burchard responded to the area and located the suspect, who was placed into protective custody.

 

August 12

2:40 a.m. Multiple calls were received about a prior assault and destruction of property on Apple Tree Hill. Sergeant William Burchard and Officer Stephen Buckley responded, and the individual was gone upon their arrival. The Westborough and Franklin Police Departments were notified. A report was to follow.

11:29 a.m. A walk-in provided a photo and reported a coyote was standing in the roadway of Erika Drive. The information was passed on to the animal control officer.

4:30 p.m. A West Main Street business owner reported two credit cards were left behind by a customer. The information was logged.

8:58 p.m. A walk-in handed in a found purse.
