Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

The town’s $104 million budget and other financial articles passed easily at Monday’s Annual Town Meeting at the Hopkinton High School Athletic Center, but the meeting was suspended due to lack of a quorum shortly after 10 p.m., just after debate on Articles 22 and 23, which address potential remedies to the town water supply PFAS problem.

With six freshmen on the varsity roster and a new head coach, the Hopkinton High School softball team is bringing fresh energy to the spring season and plans to compete in the challenging Tri-Valley League.

This week’s edition of Senior Snippets highlights a new exercise class, a suicide prevention workshop and the Healthy Brain Initiative.

The latest Library Corner includes information on Saturday’s Friends of the Library book sale as well as an author talk, the Love is Love book club and more.

The annual Hopkinton Lions Club’s community yard sale will take place Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at homes across Hopkinton.

Photo of the Day: Shell Theory performs at the Ukraine fundraiser Saturday at the farm at 199 Pond Street. Organizers reported that the event raised about $12,000 to help Ukrainians affected by the Russian invasion.
