Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Amy Ritterbusch was unanimously elected chair of the Select Board at Tuesday’s meeting, with Mary Jo LaFreniere unanimously chosen as vice chair. Tuesday’s meeting also was the first for Shahidul Mannan, who was elected Monday.
Lydia Rudden is finally getting the chance to play in a normal college lacrosse season, and the Stonehill junior is making the most of the opportunity. Rudden, a Hopkinton High School graduate, has been nothing short of dominant for the Skyhawks this year, earning a slew of Northeast-10 Conference accolades.
Leading off Business Briefs, longtime resident Karen Armstrong left her high-tech job last year and purchased LCI Paper, an e-commerce fine paper and printing company in Hudson.
Highlights from this week’s Library Corner include information on the June 2 Red Cross blood drive and the June 11 Touch-a-Truck event, sponsored by the Hopkinton Public Library Foundation.
Town meetings tonight include the Board of Appeals (7) and Marathon Fund Committee (7).
