Town offices closed Tuesday due to storm, schools to have early release

by | Mar 13, 2023 | Featured: News, News

The town announced Monday afternoon that due to the impending winter storm, Town Hall, the Hopkinton Public Library, the Senior Center and municipal offices will be physically closed.

Services will be open, and nonessential staff with the ability to work remotely will do so.

Public meetings scheduled for Tuesday will be remote only or otherwise canceled. Check the town’s website or Twitter account for updated information.

All Hopkinton schools will follow an early release schedule.

The storm is predicted to start with rain Monday night and transition to wet, heavy snow Tuesday morning. About 3-7 inches of snow is expected, along with strong winds, which could lead to power outages. Light snow is expected Wednesday morning, with the possibility of more rain that afternoon. The temperatures should start to climb from the 30s into the upper 40s/low 50s once this storm passes through.
