Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

During a two-hour Zoom public forum Wednesday, most questions asked of the Elementary School Building Committee concerned the cost and tax impact of a new Elmwood School on Hayden Rowe Street.

State Rep. James Arena-DeRosa will host office hours on Monday, June 12, from 10 a.m.-noon. The session will take place at Hopkinton Town Hall, in the lower level.

The Hopkinton Public Library Foundation’s annual Touch-A-Truck and Food Truck Festival returns to the Hopkinton High School parking lot this Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Children can climb on trucks of all kinds, see a police cruiser and fire truck, take a ride on a railroad, and enjoy lunch and desserts from local food trucks and vendors.

The Hopkinton Farmers Market returns to the Town Common on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. starting this Sunday and running through Oct. 15.

Photo of the Day: The Alpha Omega Council and the 26.2 Foundation held a ceremony Wednesday at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts to recognize middle school students from Hopkinton and Ashland who participated in essay contests focusing on the spirit of the marathon and the lasting impact of the ancient Greeks on the world. In the photo below, Hopkinton students show off their certificates.
