Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Matt Cotter, new principal of Hopkins School, said he learned from his predecessor that in order to be successful, a leader must be “selfless and make hard decisions,” always keeping in mind what is best for students and staff.

The owner of Hillers Pizza appeared in Framingham District Court on Wednesday at a compliance hearing, and a final compliance hearing was granted for Sept. 6. Petros “Peter” Sismanis was charged on Jan. 17 with one count of indecent assault of a minor and two counts of witness intimidation following an alleged incident with a teenage female employee in the basement of the restaurant.

The Hopkinton Health Department is sponsoring an Massachusetts Department of Public Health intern who is researching the health impacts of long COVID, and as part of her research, the intern is conducting an online survey that residents are invited to fill out.

This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is Nico, an 8-month-old who “has the most charming, positive personality that is sure to steal your heart.”

Hopkinton Organizing for Prevention (HOP) will host a family-friendly drive-up movie — “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” — on Tuesday, July 18, at the Hopkinton YMCA Outdoor Center.
