Jim Noon

The town sent out an emergency dispatch to residents Monday morning after an 84-year-old went missing Sunday night.

James “Jim” Noon, a white male who stands 5-foot-7 and weighs 150 pounds, was last seen in the area of 50 West Main Street (which is The Communities at Golden Pond assisted living facility) on Sunday around 10 p.m., according to police. He was wearing khaki long pants, a windbreaker, brown shoes and a Boston Red Sox baseball hat. He is believed to be on foot.

A press release from police originally stated Noon has dementia, but it later was changed to indicate he has “health conditions and may be confused or disoriented.” According to the Police log from Sunday, Noon is “new to the facility and is known to walk.”

Police and fire personnel from Hopkinton began searching the area Sunday night and continued their search into Monday.

UPDATE, Monday, 10 p.m.: Emergency personnel indicated that the search was paused at about 7 p.m., with heavy rains moving in. It was to resume Tuesday morning.
