Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Neil Entwistle, the British man convicted of murdering his wife and baby girl in their Hopkinton home in 2006, is seeking a new trial, according to multiple news sources.

The Water Department on Thursday morning announced that some of the water discoloration the town has been experiencing over the past two weeks may be related to irrigation systems set on automatic timers.

The town announced Thursday morning that construction for Hopkinton’s Well 6 PFAS filtration system has begun.
