Schedule Update
The library will be closed from Saturday, Jan. 13, through Monday, Jan. 15, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day observance. There will be a delayed opening on Friday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m. due to a monthly staff meeting.

50-Plus Job Seekers Networking Group
Wednesday, Jan. 3, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 17, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
This Zoom program is a professional forum for networking with peers in a safe and comfortable environment conducive to developing new relationships and developing skills and strategies to help with a career transition. Each meeting features a new topic. The Jan. 3 session will focus on self-assessment, while the Jan. 17 meeting is titled “Tell Me About Yourself.” Meetings include a presentation and interactive workshop on topics relevant to career transition, guest speakers, access to hiring managers, small group breakout rooms to network, and one-on-one coaching guidance. Women’s Financial Round Table
Wednesday, Jan. 10, 1-2 p.m.
This Zoom program is for anyone confused about financial markets, wondering what Bitcoin is all about or staring blankly at retirement statements. Julia Strayer and Liz Maccarone present Women and Money Round Table: How to Make Sense of Today’s Financial Markets. Each session focuses on a different topic.

This children’s concert by musician Philip Alexander is recommended for ages 0-5. Music & Movement is generously supported by the Hopkinton Public Library Foundation.

Open Video Game Play by One Up Games
Friday, Jan. 26, 1-4 p.m.
One Up Games brings a variety of next-gen consoles and gaming monitors to the library, including virtual reality devices and all the popular games, along with a mixture of classic and retro games. This program is recommended for ages 8 and older.

Mass. Audubon Presents Birds of Prey
Saturday, Jan. 27, 1-2 p.m.
Featuring live birds, this multimedia program explores what makes a bird of prey, the role they play in the environment, and how humans affect their ability to survive.
Audience members will be able to see the birds up close, handle touchable natural history artifacts, and ask an experienced naturalist questions. It is recommended for all ages. Due to limited space, registration is required. It is likely to fill up, so those interested are advised to register early.

Mobility and Stability
Saturday, Jan. 27, 1-2 p.m.
Certified yoga and mindfulness instructor Ananya Kumar will present about the benefits of exercise as a habit to live a healthier and happier life. After the presentation, participants will have the option to try out some exercises and stretches, all of which can be done while seated in a chair.
