Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is 5-year-old Thor.

Here is Baypath’s description of Thor:

“Meet Thor, a 5-year-old pup who’s ready to become your new best friend!

“Thor is the kind of dog who simply loves being part of the family. Whether you’re heading out for a walk, spending time in the yard or relaxing on the couch after a long day, Thor is happiest when he’s by your side. Friendly, social, and full of personality, he greets visitors with a wiggly body and a big smile and is always excited to make new friends.

“After his previous family faced homelessness and made the heartbreaking decision to rehome him, Thor is searching for a fresh start with a family to call his own once again. Having lived in a home before, he knows what it means to be a beloved companion and is ready to settle right back into family life.

“Thor is house-trained, crate-trained and already knows basic cues like sit and come. He’s an active boy who enjoys spending time with his people, exploring the outdoors and being included in whatever the day has in store.
