by | May 6, 2024 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Annual Town Meeting is tonight, with a Special Town Meeting set for the following evening. We have your Town Meeting primer, with information about several articles that will have key impacts on residential taxpayers.

Although no vote will be taken until May 16, the School Committee held a workshop on Thursday to evaluate Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh, rating her as having “met” or “exceeded” seven goals.

The Hopkinton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual who drove a car onto the golf course at Hopkinton Country Club on Saturday.

In its latest Main Street Corridor Project update, the town shared that Eversource still has no timetable for acquiring the transformers that are needed to complete the undergrounding of utilities, but Eversource will be on site to begin overhead utility line transfer work.

Town meetings tonight include Annual Town Meeting at the Hopkinton Middle School auditorium (doors open at 6:30, meeting starts at 7).
