Letter to the Editor: Herr, Clark for Select Board

by | May 12, 2024 | Letter to Editor

I am proudly endorsing Brian Herr and Joe Clark for Select Board and hope you will as well.

Given the current state of our Select Board, I have made it my mission to carefully vet each of the Select Board candidates to make an educated decision on May 20. I do not have an affiliation with either political party and wanted to base my decision solely on each candidate’s qualifications and experience. I watched the HCAM candidate meet-and-greet, as well as the debate, attended the in-person meet-and-greet and have personally spoken to all four candidates. After considering everything I learned, there are two standouts who I feel confident will make sound decisions and best represent our community: Brian Herr and Joe Clark.

Brian Herr’s previous years of experience on the Select Board will allow Hopkinton to have the benefit of a fiscally responsible, business-minded member on our Select Board. Brian will make an immediate positive impact as he has a proven track record as a leader, a mentor and a man who’s earned the respect of Hopkinton’s residents through all of his involvement in our town for many years.

Joe Clark was born and raised in Hopkinton and is part of multiple generations of Hopkintonians. He is dedicated to raising his young family here. He has an incredible depth of knowledge of the town governance and a deep, personal commitment to investing his time and energy as a member of the Select Board for a brighter future.

Combining Brian Herr’s business background and previous experience on the Select Board with Joe Clark’s deep Hopkinton roots and ambition to contribute to Hopkinton for many years to come make them a powerful addition to our board.

I hope you’ll join me on May 20 and vote Brian Herr and Joe Clark for the next two Select Board members.

— Sabine St. Pierre, Hopkinton
