Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is 5-year-old Big Bertha.
Here is Baypath’s description of Big Bertha:
“Meet Big Bertha (or Bertha for short)!
“Bertha has already won us over with her sweet personality and signature bulldog charm.
“This adorable girl is friendly, social and happiest when she’s with her people. She loves being part of whatever is going on, so whether you’re heading out on an adventure or relaxing at home, Bertha is simply happy to be by your side. With her playful spirit and affectionate nature, she’s sure to keep you smiling.
“One of her best features? The soundtrack! From snorts and snores to grumbles and other goofy bulldog noises, Bertha always has something to say, making her personality even more lovable.
“As a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, Bertha is looking for adopters who understand the unique needs that come with bulldogs. She’ll do best with a family who can help keep her cool in warm weather, monitor her activity level and provide the specialized care these lovable dogs need to stay happy and healthy.
“If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, stop by and meet Bertha — you just might find your perfect match.”
