It was the natural environment of Arizona that inspired Jeff Luth to take up photography. “I got taken by all the landscapes out there,” he said. His camera became his creative outlet, and soon he had work on display at galleries and Arizona institutions including the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. He moved to Hopkinton in 2021 and now is involved with the Gateway Camera Club. Here, his work has been on display at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, Mass Audubon Broadmoor and numerous Metrowest libraries. “You do it for the art,” Luth said of photography. “You’re trying to make the best image you can under the given circumstances you have.”
