Main Street Corridor Project update: Amorello to conduct crosswalk treatments

by | Oct 18, 2026 | News

The town announced that A.F. Amorello & Sons will start daytime work on all crosswalks within the Main Street Project corridor starting Monday.

The work includes Main Street and side street crossings. The crosswalks are set to be treated with two layers of colored cement in order to give a brick and grout appearance, according to a notice from the town. It is expected to take several days to complete.

Detours and land closure will be used as needed. Drivers are asked to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and follow posted detour signs while traveling through the project area.

Weather and other existing conditions may change the projected work schedule. Detours or alternating traffic will be used as needed for project work. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
