Ramp at I-90/I-495 interchange to close overnight Tuesday

by | Oct 18, 2026 | News

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will close a ramp at the Interstate 90/Interstate 495 interchange in Hopkinton Tuesday night, according to a recent notice.

MassDOT plans to shut down the I-495 northbound ramp to Route 9 eastbound (Exit 59A). The closure is slated to begin at 10 p.m. Tuesday night and continue to 5 a.m. Wednesday morning.

While the closure is in place, traffic is scheduled to detour to Route 9 westbound (Exit 59B) in order to reverse direction back to I-495 southbound. Drivers then can access Route 9 eastbound (Exit 59A) from there.

Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place. Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through work zones.

For more information on traffic conditions, drivers can visit the Mass511 website, which features travel times and real-time traffic.
