Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
Hopkinton school administrators sent an email to the community yesterday, addressing “offensive and racist comments” made by some middle and high school students on social media.
Meanwhile, as indicated in the latest Police Log, there were a few acts of vandalism in the past few days, including racist and homophobic graffiti found at Sandy Beach on Monday.
During its meeting last night, the Conservation Committee voted 5-1 to approve a notice of intent for the Seaboard Solar array off Frankland Road, moving the project forward. There were some conditions, primarily removing some of the proposed panels to clear them entirely from the vernal pool buffer zones.
Reminder: Hopkinton Organizing for Prevention (HOP) is organizing a drive-in movie (“Nanny McPhee”) in the parking lot outside Hopkinton Middle School on Friday night. Registration is required, and there are limited spots available.
Video of the Day: The Dude Perfect crew is back with another compilation of trick shots.
Music Video of the Day: Here’s Paul McCartney and Wings with “Maybe I’m Amazed” from their American tour in 1976. Enjoy.
