July 2
12:05 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle nearly hit several mailboxes on West Main Street. Sergeant Arthur Schofield and Officers Jessica Ferreira and Tyler Brabham responded and located the operator. Julie C. Steinkrauss, 46, of 5 Rae Ave., Needham, was arrested and charged with OUI liquor, possession of a Class E substance, and marked lanes violation.

July 5
2:14 a.m. On Lumber Street Extension, Sergeant William Burchard and Jessica Ferreira arrested Heather R. Taylor, 52, of 195 Saddle Hill Road and charged her with marked lanes violation and OUI liquor.

June 30
7:51 a.m. A Greystone Lane resident reported unemployment fraud. The incident was logged.
1:05 p.m. The Ashland Police Department reported three males who caused a disturbance in a restaurant took off on East Main Street and headed toward the center of Hopkinton. Officers Ryan Polselli, Benjamin Stickney and Moira McGaffigan responded and checked the area with a negative find.
1:31 p.m. A Revolutionary Way caller complained of an ongoing issue with a noisy neighbor. Officer Benjamin Stickney responded and advised the neighbor of the complaint.
3:27 p.m. A caller reported two males going between two West Main Street gas stations and asking customers for money. Officers Derek Morton and Brian Sanchioni responded, and the men were gone upon their arrival.
4:12 p.m. A caller spoke with Officer Preston Mucciarone about a violation. A report was to follow.
5:27 p.m. Officer Moira McGaffigan assisted a disabled motor vehicle with a flat tire on West Main Street.

July 2
6:27 a.m. Officer Robert Ekross found a dead beaver in the roadway on Wood Street and notified the DPW for removal.
10:09 a.m. A Breakneck Hill Road caller reported unemployment fraud. The incident was logged.
11:33 a.m. A Third Road resident reported her car was vandalized. Officer Matthew Santoro responded and took a report.
12:10 p.m. A Hayden Rowe Street caller reported a man on a motorcycle took pictures of her house. He stated he liked the house and wanted to photograph it. Officer Brendon Lyver responded and reported the man was gone upon his arrival. The caller wanted the incident logged.
1:48 p.m. A caller reported an hour ago she was on West Main Street walking to a store and was harassed by someone. Officer Matthew Santoro responded and spoke with the caller. A report was to follow.
3:28 p.m. A caller with a complaint about people using his driveway on the Fourth of July spoke with Sergeant Matthew McNeil.
9:06 p.m. A caller reported an erratic driver on Lumber Street. Sergeant Matthew McNeil and Officer Derek Morton responded and issued a verbal warning to the driver for use of a mobile phone.
9:59 p.m. A Teresa Road caller requested assistance for collecting money owed to him for work. Sergeant Matthew McNeil spoke to the caller.

July 3
11:39 a.m. Sergeant Timothy Brennan spoke with a landscaping truck driver on Overlook Road about dumping of grass.
6:39 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil assisted a walk-in with an issue at his place of employment.
9:51 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officers Ryan Polselli and Robert Ekross found group of teenagers walking down Cedar Street trying to meet up with friends. They were given a courtesy transport to the Southborough T station.
10:11 p.m. Officer Ryan Polselli checked on a vehicle parked on Forest Lane and advised the occupants to move along.

July 4
1:31 a.m. Officer Brian Sanchioni checked on a vehicle parked on Loop Road. All was OK.
8:28 a.m. A walk-in reported he was walking his dog on Maple Street and encountered a dog walker who was walking two dogs. The dogs leaped up on him and knocked him to the ground. Officer Tyler Brabham assisted.
9:20 a.m. A caller reported an incident that took place in the Price Chopper parking lot on West Main Street the previous night. Officer Tyler Brabham took a report of vandalism.
9:24 a.m. A caller reported vehicles parked illegally on Lakeshore Drive. Officer Brian Sanchioni responded and issued three parking citations.
9:57 a.m. A Mayhew Street resident reported difficulty accessing her home with her key and requested assistance. Sergeant Timothy Brennan responded and assisted her in gaining access to her home.
11:29 a.m. Sergeant Timothy Brennan and Officer Brian Sanchioni came across a male sleeping in his car on Cedar Street. The operator contacted his mother to pick him up.
11:55 a.m. A caller complained of a road hazard on Cedar Street near Main Street, where he hit a manhole cover and damaged his vehicle. The incident was logged and the DPW was notified.
12:18 p.m. A caller reported a dozen vehicles parked on Cedar Street Extension and taking up a lane of travel. Officer Tyler Brabham responded and removed all vehicles.
2:00 p.m. Officer Tyler Brabham removed vehicles from Cedar Street Extension and reported the State Park was at capacity and had closed its gates.
5:27 p.m. A Cider Mill Road caller reported a missing a black and white French Brittany dog. Officer Robert Ekross responded and assisted in locating the dog.
7:24 p.m. A caller reported an illegal burn on Walcott Street. Officer Benjamin Stickney responded along with the Fire Department. The resident put out the fire.
7:52 p.m. A Wood Street caller reported table saws operating in the neighborhood after hours and on a holiday. Officer Ryan Polselli responded and advised the neighbor of town bylaws and shut him down.
8:41 p.m. Officer Benjamin Stickney assisted a vehicle that was locked in the State Park after hours.
8:51 p.m. Officer Benjamin Stickney observed a fireworks display on Grove Street and spoke to the person setting them off.
9:06 p.m. A caller complained of fireworks being set off on Fruit Street. Officer Ryan Polselli responded, located the origin, spoke to the person responsible and shut him down for the night.
9:12 p.m. Officer Benjamin Stickney came across parties setting off fireworks on Lakeshore Drive and shut them down.
9:35 p.m. A caller reported someone on Walcott Valley Drive setting off fireworks. Officers Robert Ekross and Benjamin Stickney responded and located the responsible party, who was to stop setting off fireworks.
10:18 p.m. A Hillcrest Drive resident reported fireworks being set off in the area. Sergeants William Burchard and Timothy Brennan responded and checked the area with a negative find.
11:19 p.m. A caller reported someone in a tan vehicle with the lights off on Hayden Rowe Street setting off fireworks. Sergeants Timothy Brennan and William Burchard checked the area with a negative find.

July 5
12:18 a.m. A Walcott Street resident reported a bat in the house. Sergeants William Burchard and Timothy Brennan responded and removed the bat.
12:32 a.m. Sergeant Timothy Brennan checked on a vehicle on Cedar Street and found the occupants gazing at the moon. They were to be moving along.
12:43 a.m. Sergeants Timothy Brennan and William Burchard checked on an Ash Street property, where it appeared a breaking and entering had taken place.
8:28 a.m. A caller reported she encountered a bear cub while out walking on a trail around Lake Whitehall. The animal control officer was notified.
1:32 p.m. A caller reported losing his wallet on West Main Street and wanted the incident logged.
3:07 p.m. A caller reported she struck a cat on Grove Street. The animal control officer was contacted.
6:05 p.m. Sergeant William Burchard issued a parking citation on Lakeshore Drive for no sticker.
6:51 p.m. A caller reported a young jet ski operator acting recklessly on Lake Maspenock. Officer Preston Mucciarone responded and advised the father of the driver of the complaint.
8:00 p.m. A caller reported he was locked in the State Park. Officer Preston Mucciarone responded and opened the gate.
9:14 p.m. A Fruit Street caller complained of fireworks being set off in the area. Officer Preston Mucciarone responded and checked the area with a negative find.
11:25 p.m. A caller reported motor vehicles drag racing on Hayden Rowe Street. Sergeant Timothy Brennan and Officer Tyler Brabham responded and moved the racers out of the area.

July 6
8:45 a.m. Multiple calls were received about bushes on fire in the median of a West Main Street parking lot. Officers Philip Powers and Benjamin Stickney responded along with the Fire Department and the fire was extinguished.
1:46 p.m. Officer Benjamin Stickney completed community policing on Lakeshore Drive.
2:27 p.m. A caller reported a social security scam and wanted the incident logged.
7:18 p.m. A caller reported new scratches on his vehicle. Officer Derek Morton took a report.
8:27 p.m. Officer Preston Mucciarone assisted a disabled motor vehicle on Cedar Street with a tire change.
