Naked couple arrested during morning dog walk on Hayden Rowe Street

by | Jul 28, 2020 | News, Z-Lead Image Front Page

On the same day Hopkinton was named the No. 2 safest city in America, local police made a bizarre arrest.

Around 6:30 a.m. Monday, police received reports that a couple was walking their dog on Hayden Rowe Street while completely nude. When police responded and questioned 32-year-old Mariel Kinney and 30-year-old Kevin Pinto, they yelled and swore at the officers, Police Chief Joseph Bennett said.

“It was kind of wild,” Bennett told the Metrowest Daily News. “It wasn’t the typical day in Hopkinton, that’s for sure. They were buck naked.”

When they were told they were going to be arrested, the pair bolted, leading police on a short foot pursuit, Bennett said, adding that when police caught them, Kinney and Pinto struggled, striking the officers several times. One officer was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and was at home recovering last night.

The couple, who reside on Hazel Road, were charged with indecent exposure, assault and battery on a police officer, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. They were scheduled to be arraigned in Framingham District Court on Monday.
