Alexandra Ross

Alexandra Ross, 89, of Framingham, formerly of Hopkinton and Ashland, passed away Sept. 11, 2025, after a period of declining health. Born in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Jane (Flokhart) McLeod and beloved wife of George L. Ross. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. Alexandra worked as a certified nursing assistant at Bethany Health Care in Framingham for over 20 years. She was proud of her Scottish heritage and was a longtime supporter of the Scots Charitable Society and past chief daughter of the Daughters of Scotia Fraternal Order.

In addition to her husband, Alexandra is survived by four children, Lesley Fino and husband Richard of Ashland, Karyn Koulopoulos and husband Jim of Ashland, David Ross and wife Julie of Framingham, and Stuart Ross and wife Carla of Dartown, New Jersey, seven grandchildren, Ross Fino and wife Casey, Alexandra Carroll and husband Christian, Zachary Koulopoulos, Gabriella Ross, William Ross, James Ross and Alec Ross, three great-grandchildren, Summer, Clayton and Luca, and one sister, Betty McKinley of Musselburgh, Scotland.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home in Ashland, with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scots’ Charitable Society, c/o Jeff Barr, P.O. Box 25, Glendale, RI 02826.
