Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is 10-month-old Harvey.
Here is Baypath’s description of Harvey:
“Meet Harvey!
“This big, goofy sweetheart has been shining in foster care — and now he’s ready to find a family of his own.
“Harvey is a young, playful pup with a heart full of love and a whole lot of silly energy. He’s smart, food-motivated and eager to please, making training a breeze. He already knows ‘sit’ and is making great progress on house-training — he even asks to go out all on his own.
“Here’s what Harvey’s foster family says:
- Doing great in the house;
- Social with other dogs — he even tags along to work and doggy daycare to play with friends;
- Playful, eager to learn and loves food (his favorite combo);
- Has met kids and done well;
- Rides great in the car;
- A champ for baths, nail trims and ear cleaning;
- Huge snuggler — affectionate and loves attention.
“Harvey is a total social butterfly with other dogs and would thrive as either a solo pup or as a fun-loving addition to a home with canine companions. While he can be a little unsure around loud noises or new experiences, his confidence is growing every day. He’d do best in a home with teens or adults who can continue to support his progress.
“He also has a hilarious habit of ‘helping’ with the laundry by sneaking off with socks — and his antics are guaranteed to make you smile.
“His recently adopted littermate, Hector, is thriving in his forever home and even shared the results of his DNA test — it turns out these handsome boys are a unique mix, including one-third Catahoula leopard dog.
