Baypath Adoptable Animal of the Week: Leia

by | May 19, 2022 | Featured

Adoptable Animal-Leia

Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is Leia.

Here is Baypath’s description of Leia:

“Leia is a quiet girl. She is both crate-trained and house-trained and likes to keep her space neat. She often will burrow in her blankets to get nice and cozy! Leia has a nice medium-low energy level. While she enjoys going for walks, she has old injuries to her legs, which make it difficult for her to walk too far. She is content with short walks and playtime/company!

“Due to her previous leg injuries, Leia walks with a limp. We have her on joint tabs and some pain medication to keep her nice and comfy! We are working with our vet team to see if there is anything else we can do for her comfort. Don’t let this steer you away from sweet Leia! She is still the sweetest girl, and never lets anything get her down!

“She enjoys going for walks with her canine friends, and she prefers dogs that are her speed. No crazy puppies for this girl! We are not sure how she would be with a cat.”

For more information on Leia and any of the other available pets at Baypath, email adopt@baypathhumane.org or visit baypathhumane.org/adopt.
