Baypath Adoptable Animal of the Week: Shayla

by | May 21, 2026 | Featured, Featured: Features

Adoptable Animal-Shayla

Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is 1-year-old Shayla.

Here is Baypath’s description of Shayla:

“Meet Shayla, a playful and affectionate young pup ready to find a family to grow up with! Just under a year old and around 40 pounds, Shayla loves people, enjoys attention and is happiest by your side.

“Like many adolescent dogs, Shayla is still learning the ropes and would thrive with a family excited to continue her training and help build her confidence. She’s active, social, playful and affectionate, with a snuggly side, too — making her a wonderful match for someone ready for all the fun (and love!) that comes with a young dog.

“Before arriving at Baypath, Shayla lived with other dogs and did well meeting children. With patience, consistency and love, this sweet girl is sure to blossom into an amazing companion and beloved family member.”

For more information on Shayla and any of the other available pets at Baypath, email adopt@baypathhumane.org or visit baypathhumane.org/adopt.
