Business Briefs: Heather Smith joins Flimp Communications

by | May 17, 2020 |

Flimp Communications, a Hopkinton-based company that develops virtual communications and engagement solutions for employers and benefits providers, announced the addition of Hopkinton resident Heather Smith to its leadership team.

Smith will serve as chief people officer and senior account success manager, reporting to CEO Wayne Wall. Her primary responsibilities will include ensuring the success of Flimp’s marquee customers while also overseeing the company’s HR function.

“As we expand our offerings and our customer base, it’s clear we need someone in the field who truly understands and advocates for our most important customers,” Wall said. “Heather brings a dynamic energy to the team and has already started to make an impact for our staff and our most valued customers.”

Smith, who is active in town, including founding and running a nonprofit called Hopkinton Community Partnership, previously worked at Fidelity, where she project managed several key HR improvements for a business unit with more than 5,000 employees. She also worked directly with the company’s leadership to create strategic plans and streamline efficiencies.

“Helping clients who share the same experiences I had over the course of my career in HR is incredibly fulfilling,” Smith said. “I’m pleased to join Flimp in this dual role, as it allows me to do two things I’m passionate about, advocating for HR professionals and championing the needs of a stellar team. I love keeping one foot in the day to day of the profession, while helping our HR clients do their jobs more effectively and efficiently.”
