Business Profile: Crystal Pool & Spa all about fun

by | May 2, 2021 | Business, Featured

Turn the backyard into a fun summer getaway! Picture children (and the young at heart) excitedly splashing around in a pool, taking in a lap before dinner, getting great exercise and having a good time.

Anyone who has a pool and needs accessories, service or repairs, or is interested in purchasing an above-ground pool, can visit Crystal Pool & Spa at 95 Mechanic St. (Route 140) in Bellingham.

Crystal Pool & Spa was founded by Verne and Nancy Brown more than 50 years ago and today remains family-owned and operated, proudly servicing families in Metrowest. Kimberly DiChiara is company president and the Browns’ granddaughter.

“I love my job,” DiChiara stated. “My sister Cindy and I are third-generation, and my son Keenan, nephew Timmy and fiancée Scott work alongside us. Grandma passed away last fall just before her 95th birthday, but we know she and Grandpa would be proud of their legacy.”

DiChiara grew up in the business and enjoys meeting customers, listening to their requests and facilitating every need.

“Thanks to our customers’ loyalty and patience this past year, our business never closed,” noted DiChiara. “This year, although we are seeing a shortage in chlorine supplies, we plan to offer accessory chemicals to cut chlorine usage by 30 percent.”

The company sells several styles of above-ground pools, and staff members pride themselves on educating each customer about their purchase.

“Caring for your pool is pretty straightforward, but not everyone has the time or desire to maintain one,” DiChiara noted. “Once again, we’re excited to offer our all-inclusive pool maintenance package for customers’ ease and convenience.”

The package has grown in popularity over the years, and includes pool opening, weekly vacuums, chemicals and closing at season’s end.

“Customers love our service techs,” DiChiara added. “They’re reliable, knowledgeable and friendly, and just like family, we’ve worked together so long.”

The company also offers in-house service and repairs to a homeowner’s Dolphin robotic cleaner, along with filter cleaning, salt cell cleaning and testing, and rentals of the robotic cleaners and submersible pumps.
