Cultural Council calls for artists

by | Mar 17, 2021 | Featured

The Hopkinton Cultural Council is seeking artists to extend and grow the Celebration of Diversity mural, located on the wooden fence leading to EMC Park.

“We hope to add 3-5 new segments this year,” HCC chair Ilana Casady said. “We are looking to create a footprint of this moment in our town’s history as we embrace its growing diversity and character.”

Themes may include but are not limited to: indigenous culture, women’s history and individuals with differing abilities. All ideas and artistic interpretations are welcome for submission, from individual or multiple artists. Media must be long-lasting and weather resistant.

Entry deadline is May 15, the jury decision deadline is May 31, and the installation deadline is Aug. 15. For more information or to submit sample images, email culturalchair@hopkintonma.gov or call 617-461-9659.
