The town announced Friday that it was extending the application deadline to Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. for a new director of the Hopkinton Public Library. The job has been open since Heather Backman left to take a job with the Weymouth Public Libraries in early July.
According to the town’s posting, candidates must have a master’s degree in library science, along with “seven years of progressively responsible experience in library administration, including personnel management, fiscal management, program development and facility management, and three years of experience in a supervisory capacity, including demonstrated leadership qualities and experience.”
The hiring salary range is between $82,555 and $107,327, with a full range to $115,585.
