Democratic Town Committee elects delegates for state convention

At its caucus on Thursday night, the Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee elected delegates for this fall’s state Democratic convention. Elected were Nasiba Mannan, Celia Jenkins, Meena Kaushik, Kyla McSweeney, Frank D’Urso, Devon Rutter, Shadihul Mannan, Patrick Atwell, Ellen Rutter (alternate), Paula Toomey (alternate), Peter Mimmo (alternate), Liam Horseman (alternate), Ed Mills (ex officio) and Darlene Hayes (ex officio/chair).

The state convention is scheduled for Sept. 25 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell. Delegates will adopt a party platform, discuss party business and celebrate successes as they prepare for upcoming elections.
