DPW announces September roadwork schedule

by | Sep 3, 2025 | News

The Department of Public Works will continue roadwork on three streets next week, starting on Tuesday.

Affected roads are: Barbara Road, Peppercorn Road and Dicarlo Road.

On Tuesday, crews will adjust structures on each road. From Sept. 15-17, the roads will undergo reclaiming and grading. Following that work, binder course asphalt paving will commence on Sept. 18.

Finally, DPW crews are set to raise and adjust structures as well as install ADA sidewalk ramps from Sept.19-23.

The DPW will schedule top course paving based on the progress of the previous steps.

Work hours will be approximately 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Dates are subject to change due to weather conditions. Residents are advised not to park in the affected streets, as doing so will interfere with project timelines.

Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible.

According to a notice from the DPW, work on these streets was made possible due to additional Chapter 90 funding from the commonwealth for fiscal year 2026.
