by | Feb 28, 2024 | News

The Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee announced that it will hold a caucus this Friday at 6 p.m. to nominate Democratic State Convention delegates.

The meeting will be held on the second floor of Hopkinton Town Hall (18 Main Street) in the Select Board room. Participant check-in will begin at 5:30 and will close promptly at 6:15.

The purpose of the Hopkinton Democratic state caucus is to elect delegates to the Democratic State Convention to be held on June 1 in Worcester.

Registered and preregistered Democrats in Hopkinton 16 years old by Feb. 15 may vote and be elected as delegates or alternates during the caucus. Youth (ages 16 to 35), people with disabilities, people of color, veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community not elected as delegates or alternates are encouraged to apply to be add-on delegates at the caucus or by visiting massdems.org/massdems-convention.

The Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee (hopkintondemocrats.org) holds regular monthly meetings on the third Thursday of the month.
