Helen Daher, 85, passed away peacefully July 20 at her home in Hopkinton. She was the widow of George F. Daher, who died in 1991. Born in Kallithea, Athens, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Kalliope (Zaharothi) and Michalis Gouliemos.
She graduated high school in Athens, Greece. She was an actress, model, hairdresser and manager of a women’s clothing store. As a military wife she traveled extensively throughout the world.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Therese Lisciotto of Hopkinton, her son, Richard Daher of Paris, France, and her sisters, Visandia Arvanitis and Kleopatra Loulis of Athens, Greece, and Maria Zakaib of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She also leaves her grandchildren, Nicholas and Anthony Lisciotto of Hopkinton.
A funeral service was held July 25 in Saint Mark of Ephesus Orthodox Cathedral in Westwood. Burial followed at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Funeral services were under the care of the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home of Hopkinton (callanancronin.com).
