Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

With Annual Town Election set for May 16, we reached out to all local candidates for background information and a statement about their candidacy. We have all the responses along with the six questions that will appear on the ballot.

The Water and Sewer Department announced Saturday that a required fire flow test of the fire pump systems on South Street has been scheduled for Saturday. Because these tests will take place on main transmission lines, customers may notice some discoloration during and after the tests throughout town.

This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is a 2-year-old dog named Storm, a “gorgeous, fun loving, energetic girl” who is “looking for an active family who has time to spend with her throughout the day.”

The latest Business Profile highlights John Anthony’s Landscaping, where 35-year landscaping veteran John Anthony Kwasek Sr. has welcomed his son, John Kwasek Jr., to the company.
