Fire flow test Saturday could lead to water discoloration

by | Apr 21, 2022 | News

The Water and Sewer Department announced Saturday that a required fire flow test of the fire pump systems on South Street has been scheduled for Saturday, April 23.

Because these tests will take place on main transmission lines, customers may notice some discoloration during and after the tests throughout town.

While the discoloration eventually will dissipate, residents are being advised to check their water before using it and to run the cold water to clear the internal pipes.
