Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
The Planning Board, in a special Thursday night meeting, reversed course from last week’s decision regarding its seven zoning articles, voting to recommend Town Meeting take no action on the articles in hopes of limiting attendance and discussion at the Sept. 12 Town Meeting. The board voted in favor of recommending passage of an eighth article, on the acceptance of Legacy Farms Road North, due to the fact that there are immediate safety concerns to be addressed there.
Hopkinton Health Department director Shaun McAuliffe and public health nurse Kasey Mauro, during an appearance on Thursday’s Hopkinton Hangout Hour on HCAM, said there has been an increase in travel by residents and it is putting the entire community at risk.
Lykan Bioscience is putting the final touches on its headquarters and manufacturing facility on South Street, where the start-up will help biopharmaceutical companies produce cell and gene therapy products.
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts‘ Concerts on the Patio series wraps up tonight (6:30) with a live performance from Sarah Levecque.
