Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee announced that it would cancel its caucus leading up to the May 20 Annual Town Election “so that candidates and voters may focus on the issues rather than on the caucus.”

The School Committee at its Thursday meeting awarded a pre-construction contract of $140,000 to Commodore Builders for the Hopkins School addition/renovation project.

This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is Maggie, a 7-month-old who “is clever, loves treats and is ready to embark on new adventures.”

The Hopkinton Parent Teacher Organization (HPTO) is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a ’90s Prom Birthday Bash on Saturday, April 6, from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts.

The Hopkinton Running Club’s Couch to 5K is a 10-week program designed to train anyone who has ever wanted to run a 5K (3.1-mile) road race. In-person training begins April 7 and is held weekly from 8-9 a.m.

Photo of the Day: Representatives from the Hopkinton Women’s Club drop off gift bags with Compassion New England for Valentine’s Day. The donated bags were filled with diapers, wipes and hygiene supplies.
