Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.

Hopkinton’s Board of Appeals on Wednesday unanimously granted an extension of the compliance deadline to Oct. 30 to the owner of the former Liberty Mutual building on Frankland Road. The owner had appealed a cease and desist order regarding the storage and maintenance of construction vehicles on the property.

Mark Sanborn has been named varsity football coach at Hopkinton High School, athletic director Rich Cormier announced Thursday. A wellness teacher at the high school, Sanborn had been an assistant coach for the Hillers the past few years.
