by | Mar 5, 2021 | Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.

The School Committee could officially determine a school reopening plan next Thursday, committee chair Amanda Fargiano said at a public forum Thursday night to discuss issues related to the reopening. A School Committee working session to further discuss the issue will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The committee will host its next regular meeting March 11, when a vote could be taken.

The website AdvisorSmith named Hopkinton the safest midsize city in Massachusetts in a study released Thursday. Based on crime data published by the FBI, Hopkinton had 1.8 violent crimes and 1.6 property crimes per 1,000 residents.

The latest COVID-19 update shows 28 active cases in town and offers the latest information on the vaccination distribution schedule.

The Tri-Valley League recently named its winter All-Stars, and Hopkinton was well-represented, with a number of athletes from boys and girls basketball, hockey, track and skiing honored.
