After a successful inaugural event last year, the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce’s Restaurant Week starts today and runs through May 22. “The restaurants really benefited from it and wanted to keep it going,” says Bryan Brown, chair of the Restaurant Week Committee.

There are a number of local events taking place this weekend. The Little League spring fundraiser is tonight at St. John’s Parish Hall. Tomorrow’s events include Hopkinton 101 at the Town Common, the Police Association Kids Fishing Derby and the Lions Club community yard sale, which takes place all over town.

Former Hopkinton High School baseball standouts Stephen Simoes and Ben McKenzie had memorable seasons as teammates at Bowdoin College, leading the team to its first NESCAC East Division title since 2006.

Baypath Humane Society’s ninth annual Fore Paws Golf Tournament will be held Friday, June 10, at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston.
