Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Leading off Independent Thoughts, Hopkinton’s Ryan Hwang, a freshman at the University of Southern California, recently released an original song and has posted videos on his social media accounts showing how he made it.

The latest Tales from Townie feature recalls a day of sledding off Ash Street and Fenton Street.

The town’s Department of Public Works announced Thursday that there could be temporary discoloration of water in areas of town after an ‘unauthorized’ fire pump flow test.

This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is 11-year-old Kayley, who “is definitely slowing down but still enjoys a relaxed stroll on the sidewalk and playing with her favorite toys.”

Our latest Business Profile highlights BoMain, which stands for Bill’s on Main, the new name of the iconic downtown restaurant.

The next monthly trail volunteer day is this Saturday at the trails behind the former Center School. Volunteers will work on bridge construction and trail marking.
