Hopkinton Today: Monday, April 12

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.

Bittersweet Co. has closed its doors for good, according to owner C.J. Dunne. The Main Street cafe/bakery/tapas bar welcomed patrons for the final time Friday. Dunne said revenues dropped 90 percent due to the COVID-19 pandemic and he could no longer keep the business afloat.

Hopkinton’s latest COVID-19 update shows 39 active cases in town and includes an update on the Hopkinton Public Library’s curbside pickup process.

As part of our Business Profile series of summer happenings, we profile EARTH Ltd., which offers Wild Adventure Summer Programming for ages 5-16 at Southwick’s Zoo in Mendon.

Town meetings tonight include the Parks & Recreation Commission (5:30) and Planning Board (7).
