Hopkinton Today: Monday, July 31

by | Jul 31, 2023 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The School Committee on Thursday reviewed updates to the district’s capital plan and talked about enrollment in conjunction with the proposed new Elmwood School and Hopkins School addition.

While the upper and main beaches at Hopkinton State Park remained closed due to high bacteria counts, the water quality at Sandy Beach remained safe for swimming and boating, providing an oasis for Hopkinton residents during the recent scorching temperatures.

The Hopkinton Trails Club announced that the walk at the Hughes Farm Trail previously scheduled for this past Thursday has been moved to next Thursday (Aug. 3) at 7 p.m.

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, crews will grade the bike path between the Muffin House Cafe and Hayden Rowe Street and perform various on-site cleanup work.

Town meetings tonight include the Parks & Recreation Commission (5:30) and Zoning Advisory Committee (7).
