Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Hopkinton Independent founder and longtime town volunteer Sarah Lothrop Duckett passed away Friday at the age of 77 after a period of declining health.

Leading of the HHS Sports Roundup, the Hillers baseball team dropped a 7-2 decision to host Westfield on Sunday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Division 2 state tournament. Meanwhile, boys lacrosse standout Logan DelPonte was named an All-American and Jack Provencher was selected as an Academic All-American by USA Lacrosse.

The Hopkinton Trails Club will host a group walk at Eagle Farms on Sunday, June 23, at 10 a.m. The walk will cover a 2.8-mile loop on the Greenwood, Fitzpatrick, Saddle Hill and Sands trails.

Town meetings tonight include the Commission on Disability (7) and Youth Commission (7).
