by | Jun 24, 2024 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Residents sat down with the finalists for the town manager position Thursday night at the Hopkinton Public Library. The four finalists display a wide range of civil service and public sector experience. Each spoke to their background, qualifications, and visions for the role.

Approving contracts associated with the $48 million Hopkins School addition and renovation project was the focus of Thursday’s School Committee meeting.

The town on Friday provided an update on the Main Street Corridor Project. Eversource continues to wait for the transformers to complete undergrounding of utilities, but the company has been on-site working on overhead utility line transfer work, which it states is 75-80% complete.

The Hopkinton Parks & Recreation Department recently announced the schedule for the Thursday night movies and Sunday concerts at the Town Common. The movies start this Thursday, while the concerts get underway July 14.

Town meetings tonight include the Board of Health (5:30) and Commission on Disability (7).
