by | Jun 26, 2023 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

This past Wednesday, employees from the Assisted Living Certification Unit of the state Executive Office of Elder Affairs visited Hopkinton to investigate conditions at The Communities at Golden Pond, which failed a compliance review in March and was ordered not to accept new residents “on or after May 4.”

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, workers will continue installation of conduit and bases for site lighting from Muffin House Cafe to Ash Street (work will take place in the excavated sidewalk area). Additionally, crews will work on installation of the granite curb and grade and form (but not pour) sidewalks from Muffin House Cafe to Ash Street.

In this week’s Business Briefs, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants announced that Arthur Marshall was elected to serve a third year on its Board of Directors for its 2023-24 fiscal year, which began May 1.

Town meetings tonight include the Planning Board (7).
