Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Following last Tuesday’s shooting at an elementary school in Texas, Hopkinton will have an increased police presence at its schools, the superintendent and police chief announced Friday.
At its meeting on Thursday, the Parks & Recreation Commission discussed updates on the Fruit Street fields replacement project, the Hopkinton Cricket Club, EMC Park murals and summer programming.
Leading off the Schools Notebook, Hopkinton High School and Hopkinton Middle School’s robotics teams took home awards at the world competition earlier this month.
The 17th annual Arts in Bloom exhibit is underway, running from May 21 through June 15 at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts’ Lotvin Family Gallery. As in years past, six artists will be honored with awards and receive cash prizes totaling over $1,000.
